HM Land Registry’s goal is to complete registration of all land in England and Wales by 2030. To ensure this is achieved this course intends to refine and enhance the knowledge of practitioners in relation to first registration.

Course Details:

This bundle focuses on first registration and how to register a caution against first registration. In addition, detailed information is given on what to do if original title deeds have been lost or destroyed and how to still achieve registration. Areas covered under this bundle include:

  • the procedure to follow when applying for first registration of an unregistered estate
  • the procedure to follow when applying for first registration of an unregistered estate when title deeds have been lost or destroyed
  • the nature and effect of a caution is explained as well as the processes involved in registering and dealing with caution titles
  • how to apply for an official search and what information is held on the index map.
